High Quality Education
At High Quality Education, our mission is to empower educators by providing access to high-quality equipment, resources, and training programs through our collaborative efforts with low-income local public schools.

We have just received our 501(c)(3) status. Our goal is to begin to offer programs for the 2024-2025 school year, but in order do that we need to begin our fundraising efforts.
Why HQ Education?
There are a lot of programs available to support education, why is HQ Education needed?
While there are plenty of programs available to enhance student education, these programs are costly. The goal at HQ Education is to help eliminate that barrier for public title one schools. Through our collaborative efforts, the school and teachers are able to focus solely on providing the high quality education while we take care of the funding.

Goals of HQ Education
Student Enrichment: Increase the number of students that are receiving enrichment services.
While nearly everyone would agree that enrichment is a necessary part of education, in reality very few students at a school site receive true enrichment. This disparity is even more pronounced throughout public title one schools. Take, for example, one public school in Central Florida we currently support. At the school, currently 30 students receive in-school enrichment through the gifted program. This adds up to around 4% of the school population , which is still significantly higher than surroundings schools. At this site an additional 30 students participate in afterschool academic enrichment, meaning only around 8% of students at this school receive high quality enrichment. We aim to increase the number of students receiving enrichment by building new programs, as well as, enhancing programs in place to support more students.

Professional Development: Proving meaningful professional development for teachers.
Most teachers are required to attend professional development, in which often focus on students deficits. Of the programs offered at a Central Florida school district, few professional development opportunities being offered focused on enrichment. Of these professional development offered some paid the teachers to attend, some were free to attend, and a few required the teachers to pay for the course themselves. At HQ education we would like to provide teachers with professional development to help them learn how to provide meaningful enrichment in their classroom, as well as, supporting after-school enrichment programs.

Teacher Compensation: Providing compensation for teachers time and efforts.
It is not new information that teachers are often underpaid and overworked. This is a problem that will continue to grow as teacher shortages are on the incline. Check for more on that here. We opperate in the state of Florida, which is currently ranked 48th in the nation regarding teacher pay. Check for more information here. As part of our mission, we maintain that teachers should be compensated for their time, regardless if that time is spent in trainings, planning, or working directly with students.

Currently we are focusing our efforts into three areas of enrichment. In each area we are seeking to provide materials, resources, and training to public school teachers.

Gavin Baker
At High Quality Education, we are dedicated to providing students and teachers with the highest quality education possible. Our founder and executive director, Gavin, has been teaching in Title 1 schools for 10 years and has two masters degrees in educational leadership and gifted education. With his knowledge and experience, we are able to provide support to both students and teachers in order to create an environment of success. We understand that education is the key to a successful future and we are committed to providing the best education possible to everyone we work with.
